Elesko stone

Just like the Elesko castle watched over the trade route between Buda and Prague in the 13th century, our stone guards our vineyards like a vigilant eye. The journey of our Elesko stone started in Eastern Slovakia in Spišské Podhradie. This piece of travertine stone travelled from a stone pit across the whole country to the west to settle down under the Small Carpathians, in our wineyards, where an artist transformed into a vast sculpture. It is the biggest sculpture made from one piece of stone in Central Europe. Hence, Elesko symbolically links the whole of Slovakia.

A stone - an eye - a guardian and protector of conscientious work and high-quality grapes that you can taste in our wines. Elesko - grace and inspiration.

The monumental Elesko sculpture was created by sculptor Bohuš Kubinský.
